Our puppies are guaranteed to be in good health and free from communicable diseases when purchased. This general health guarantee is valid for 10 days from the date the puppy is picked up. As a condition of the guarantee, the puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within the 10 days from the date of purchase. If the licensed veterinarian confirms in writing that the puppy is in poor health, we agree to refund the purchase price of the puppy when returned to us. Any negligence on behalf of the purchaser voids this agreement. If the puppy is found to have a health problem and the buyer opts to treat the puppy, the seller is not responsible for any expenses incurred.
Note: Until the full series of vaccinations has been completed, the puppy should not be exposed to premises known or suspected to be contaminated by unhealthy animals.
The seller does hereby guarantee that any puppies sold by us are free from any verifiable inherited conditions that are detrimental to the puppy's health. A full refund of purchase price is available for the first 30 days after purchase if your veterinarian finds a congenital or hereditary defect that is detrimental to the puppy's health. Notification must be made to us within 2 days of a licensed veterinarian's diagnosis of puppy's health. If, during the first year your puppy dies or needs to be euthanized due to a congenital or hereditary defect, we will replace your puppy from the next available litter not of the same dam and sire. A written explanation from a licensed veterinarian must accompany request for replacement.
This agreement is included for the purpose of providing for the puppy's continued health and well being. Violation of this agreement voids all other guarantees. Buyer agrees to read and follow the practices outlined in the Pug Care page of the seller's website: http://www.hoganpugs.com/pugcare.html and in the care packet we provide.
The buyer acknowledges that Pugs are inside dogs and are not capable of surviving as an outside dog. Special attention must be given to warmer months because of the breed's increased susceptibility to heat stroke (a few hours in extreme heat can kill a Pug), and the colder months because of the breed's short coat.
If at any time, the buyer is no longer able to care for a dog purchased from the seller, the buyer agrees to return the dog to seller and the seller agrees to find a suitable home for the puppy. In such an event, no refund will be given of original purchase price, however, the new adopters fee minus any fees the seller incurs to make pug current on veterinary care will be returned to prior owner.
The seller agrees to be available to answer any questions or give advice to the buyer throughout the life of the Pug.
